Terms & Conditions

1.New clients: Before the groom can occur you must signal acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. This is done by filling out and submitting my client form online which I can send to you via a link.
2.     Ethos: Dogs will be groomed in accordance with the Animal Welfare Act of 2006; every effort will be made to calm and reassure your dog to avoid subjecting them to stress or discomfort. I only use professional grooming products and equipment which meets the appropriate British/European standards and make every effort to ensure grooming is a safe and pleasurable experience for your dog.
3.     Cancellations: You will not be charged for cancelled appointments provided you give me at least two days’ notice; for late cancellations received within 48 hours of the appointment, I will make every effort to find alternative clients to fill that slot but reserve the right to charge you the full price of the grooming time slot where I am unable to do so. Being a very small business this is something I have to be vigilant about.
4.     Matted Fur: Prices quoted are based on the assumption that the coat is not too matted; additional charges will apply for matted coats as this requires more work, will blunt my equipment and could add to the length of the groom.
5.     Skin Sensitivity/ Allergies: Please let me know if your pet is suffering with skin sensitivities/ allergies. Clients are welcome to bring their own vet prescribed medicated shampoo which I can use. I cannot accept liability for:
  • Dogs which experience skin irritation despite my precautions, due to having exceptional sensitivity to grooming products.
  • Accidentally ‘nicking’ a dog as a result of close clipping a heavily matted coat.
  • Any other issues revealed by clipping an extremely matted/neglected coat
6.     Photos: I reserve the right to photograph and/or video my work for promotional purposes and, as the default, expect to publish some of this content to Eloise’s Dog Grooming social media sites; please let me know if you would prefer me not to publish images of your dog for any reason.
7.     Animal Welfare: The welfare of all dogs is my top priority and any concerns I may have will be discussed with you.

8.  Fleas: Eloise’s Dog Grooming maintains the highest possible standards of hygiene to prevent the transmission of pests and diseases. I ask that you do not bring your dog for grooming if there is a known issue such as an infestation of fleas, kennel cough, mites or mange. Any dog that has a suspected transmissible pest or disease will be refused entry. Furthermore if I find that your dog has any of the previously listed issues or another transmissible issue then you will be held liable for the costs associated with fumigation and disinfection and for any loss of earnings.
9.  Aggression: You must let me know if your dog has ever exhibited any aggressive tendencies toward people or other animals. I reserve the right to cease the grooming session if I deem that the groom has become too dangerous to continue, at which point your dog will need to be collected from my premises and the full price of the groom will still apply.
10.  Toileting: Please ensure your dog has gone to the toilet before being groomed; it is unfair/unkind to expect them to have to try to ‘hold it’ whilst they are in their grooming session. Please make sure you ‘bag it and bin it’.
11.  Data Protection: Your personal contact information will only be used by Eloise’s Dog Grooming and will not be given to a third party without your consent.
12. Punctuality: Appointments will be held for 15 minutes after the agreed appointment time, after which it will be assumed the client is not attending. I reserve the right to still charge the full fee for the grooming session.
13. Payments: I prefer bank transfer or cash. If bank transfer is the preferred method of payment then it must be paid within 2 days of the appointment, unless agreed otherwise.
14.Vaccinations: Your puppy/dog(s) must be fully vaccinated before they can enter the salon.
15. Drop off and pick-ups: For security reasons I will need to know if for some reason somebody other than the main contact will be dropping off or collecting your dog. Failure to do so could result in delays. You must ensure your dog is on a lead at all times for drop off and collection. To avoid an accident you must use a standard lead and NOT a slip lead.

17.Parking: Please ensure you park your car on my driveway when you are dropping-off and collecting your dog. Please do not park anywhere that blocks my neighbours from getting in and out of their driveways.
